German Octopus Paul : King of Predictions
My name is Paul; I‘m from Germany; I live in Stockhausen Aquarium, Spanish offer me an air ticket and better living conditions as recently they started loving me hoho. German people want to cook me with lemon and Oliver oil, well what can I say, I love my country; but I love football more. I‘ve got my favorite team just like anyone else. I Predicted this World Cup 8 times and hit 8 times ! Wow, couldn’t believe it myself. Therefore lots of football fans named me ‘The King of Predictions’. They made me believe I should be the greatest World Cup commentary Star this year! haha, Maybe yes, but still hmm…..
Let’s have a look together who else are there those made this world cup so special except me!
PS: The trick of Predict? There is no such thing as psychic, ok? ALL BS! Hehe, have to keep it as secret for myself..
The New World Champions : Spain
The final game wasn’t as excellent as most of the fans imagined still it was the biggest pressure Spanish had faced since the start of world cup games. Even the first game with Swiss wasn’t so tough as the final one! There was a time Netherlands’ intense scraping gave lots of pressure to Spanish players. After many great chances had lost, finally Mr. “White,” Andres Iniesta Lujan last kick end this game perfectly! As the worth of this team in the sum of the highest ranks, the champion Spanish title is actually deserved. But also demonstrate the economic base determines the superstructure is the truth never going to change !

Vuvuzelas : We are made In China
Sometimes I really admire some of the great Chinese people; they always are able to make involvement with something totally unrelated! China, the country seems have nothing to do in this year’s South African World Cup! Still the Chinese fans watched the game, only just for fun as well. However you still can hear people asking : who said China did not participate in it, did you hear the noise all around the field ? Didn’t you see everyone was holding a Vuvuzelas! They all Made in China!!!!!!
Well, I’m almost convinced WHAT ABOUT YOU?
Referee’s World CUP
I would say 2010 World Cup is :
South Africa’s World Cup,
African’s World Cup,
World’s World Cup!
but after all it seems more like Referee’s World Cup! None of the previous World Cup referees had so many wrong judgments. Like this year, Larrionda, the main referee of England-German war, blow off the goal which half a meter away from the goal line from Lampard!!
And that is the best explanation of the meaning of This year was The Referee’s World Cup !
The World Cup without SUPER STAR
Rooney left, Messi left, C Lo gone, such superstars who had full of expectations before the match, disappointed completely. South Africans were out of the game so earlier this year! This is the term of the lack of World Cup Super Stars. Frankly speaking, is the lack of a national idol, “Yan Xing”. Germany’s Muller do have the potential to become a star, but his physique is too tall and doesn’t have cute face like Beckham style! So he is difficult to become a national idol. Diego Forlan from Uruguay, his performance in this year’s world cup games was very surprising, but he is also the old fox who already play years in Europe, older, but with no star-like charisma. And Sneijder, INIESTA and others, early years when they play in European professional league, they already proved that they can only be football star, but can’t create scandal in the life like other super stars!
Netherlands – Uncrowned Kings’
The Netherlands became the King without Title again, ITS SAD! Unfortunately, they were that close to the trophy. What if they could just hold on for 5 more minutes insist on dragging penalty kick, then everything could be different! Seriously, they actually had many good chances to win the battle. What if the ‘one on one’ from Arjen Robben could be a success? What if Johnny Heitinga wasn’t sent off, but those are just ifs and buts. The sad part is three times they had chance to reach the Finals and had to just face the runner up trophy. When is their turn to become a real champion team?
Robben will still be standing in the final after four years ?
World Cup is over, life continues, hot weather continues, sleep back to normal…

So not really on the same topic as your post, but I found this today and I just can’t resist sharing. Mrs. Agathe’s dishwasher quit working so she called a repairman. Since she had to go to work the next day, she told him, “I’ll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and I’ll mail you the check. Oh, and by the way…don’t worry about my Doberman. He won’t bother you. But, whatever you do, do NOT under ANY circumstances talk to my parrot!” When the repairman arrived at Mrs. Agathe’s apartment the next day, he discovered the biggest and meanest looking Doberman he had ever seen. But just as she had said, the dog simply laid there on the carpet, watching the repairman go about his business. However, the whole time the parrot drove him nuts with his incessant cursing, yelling and name-calling. Finally the repairman couldn’t contain himself any longer and yelled, “Shut up, you stupid ugly bird!” To which the parrot replied, “Get him, Spike!”
